With the fundamental change in the way we work wrought about due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Lisbon Nearshore decided to reinvent a key feature that was still stuck in the operating ways of the 20th century: the office as the centerpiece of our relationship with our employees and clients.
To thrive in an increasingly competitive job market, tech companies need to respond to the needs of their employees and the talent they’re trying to reach.
After giving much thought to the subject, we realized that we couldn’t just go back to the grey dull offices supported by fluorescent lighting and the always-on AC hum. To be fair, we were always investing in ways to improve our office conditions – from better lighting to comfortable seating, not forgetting a fully-stocked lounge area and high-quality coffee -, however, we felt that this was not enough to provide to our employees and clients the kind of service they now expect.
As such, in a month, we are unveiling the Lisbon Nearshore Office Experience. We’ve decided to partner with WorkHubLx, a CoWorking company focused on creating spaces for a community of innovators and agitators, supporting tech businesses in a sustainability-minded setting. We’ve rented a space down by the Tejo river in Marvila – Lisbon’s bustling creative neighborhood.
There, we will have the chance to create an office space more focused on collaboration for teams, deep-work pods for those who don’t have the necessary conditions to perform it at home, coupled with an exclusive venue for workshops and events. All within close proximity of amazing bars, restaurants, sports venues, and gardens.
We won’t force anyone to come back to the office, but we are creating a space for those who wish to do so to feel welcomed and cared for.
